St. Paul American School Hanoi SAT Prep Course

Testtakers is bringing its well-established, in-person SAT preparation and Pre Prep programs available to St. Paul American School. The programs will be delivered in-person at St. Paul from September 10th to 15th, and then via the Zoom platform. Please find the full schedules below.

Note that only students in the year of 2027 or 2028 should consider enrolling in the SAT preparation program. Younger students should consider the Pre Prep program instead. The Pre Prep program will help lay the foundation for academic success and high test scores in the future.

This SAT Prep program will cover the new-format digital SAT (dSAT) available since March 2023. More on the new test format here.

Lead instructor and program director Jeremy Craig has been teaching test preparation since he was an undergraduate at Columbia University where he studied Chinese history and international political economy. He established Testtakers Singapore in 2001 in partnership with Testtakers (USA) in New York. Since then he has taught and run over 350 full SAT preparation programs - most in partnership with international schools. Jeremy has written extensively on trends in testing and admissions as well as presented many informative webinars and short videos trying to make sense of things.

The focus of the program is on new techniques and strategies to apply the knowledge students already have to the context of the SAT - not tedious practice and rote memorisation. The lessons are highly interactive with kids encouraged to participate in a group setting - not a top-down “do it this way” lectures. We have worked with the following schools in the past: United World College of South East Asia, Tanglin Trust School, Overseas Family School, Singapore American School, NIST Bangkok, International School of Bangkok, Bali International School, MKIS (Malaysia), JIS (Brunei), Zurich International School, & TASIS Lugano, among many others. Our focus is on test preparation and we do not offer any add-on university placement services, talk to your school counsellors on that as they would know you best. Our practice tests are our own, not the official College Board mock tests.

The comprehensive fee is US$800 which can be paid via credit card through Stripe after registration. After registration and payment is complete the student will receive the course pack with the Study Buddy flashcard box to get an early start on things.

Pre Prep Program

This program will help students build on their academic foundations for success in school and eventually on standardized tests like the SAT.   The program will be conducted in-person at St Paul from September 12th to 15th, and then following on the Zoom platform.
